MCL Are Hot Property

MCL was recently called in to provide the event production for client DAMAC Properties at the London Hilton Metropole. DAMAC Properties has grown into one of the most successful residential, leisure and commercial developers in Dubai and the Middle East, and currently holds a portfolio of properties spread across 670 million square feet worth in excess of US$45 billion. As the event was to launch a new development to potential investors, DAMAC needed to deliver an event with impact and that reflected the luxury and high standards of the property of offer and MCL were given the brief to deliver the AV solution.

The team headed by project manager Mark Oakland responded to this brief designing a set that utilised a central screen flanked by columns of our exclusive stock of Versa Tile LED video wall to give a dramatic and flexible backdrop to the proceedings. Versa Tile is an innovative, low resolution video wall that is used as a changeable and interactive display feature. Mark utilised 27 sqm of Versa Tile arranged into six 1m wide columns to act as high brightness and attention grabbing set feature. Video and graphics were played across the panels allowing them to function as a high brightness, colour changing backdrop that could create endless moods from subtle and ambient to intense and pulsating.

To give further impact and presence to the message delivered at the event; MCL supplied their Spyder Widescreen system to create a stunning 30’ x 10’ image projected from three seamlessly blended 10,000 lumens DLP projectors. MCL were also responsible for generating the presentation content for the event in a widescreen format that filled the screen and gave added presence and impact to the event delivery. By utilising the Spyder processing system, MCL could display picture in picture windows featuring animated graphics, images and live camera to deliver a truly stunning and interactive presentation.
