MCL Launch FIAT Punto Evo

Working closely with David Green and Tess Roscoe from production company Tebays, Stuart MacLachlan of MCL delivered the end to end technical production for the launch of the new FIAT Punto Evo. The Evo launch was the largest event FIAT had produced in the UK since the launch of the FIAT 500 over two years ago and was a vital and high profile event for the company.

The Jaguar Hall at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry provided a blank canvas for the event and it was down to MCL and Tebays to transform this large, open space into a fully branded, immersive experience for the Punto Evo launch.

The concept that Tebays and MCL settled upon was to separate the Jaguar Hall into different areas and to take the delegates on a journey as they engaged the FIAT brand, culminating in the reveal of the new Punto Evo. To achieve this, Stuart utilised the full range of resources available from MCL to create separate cafe areas, break out rooms and a launch theatre all divided by truss lines and textured fabric draping. An extensive array of lighting, audio and video effects were used to deliver impact and atmosphere to the different areas of the launch experience and reflect the dynamic, cool and youthful brand of the FIAT Punto Evo. The reveal of the car was achieved via a stunning 360 kabuki drop which was designed and engineered by the team at MCL who also provided all graphic and design elements from initial conception right through to production of all branded material for the event itself.
