June saw NASDAQ OMX hosting a one day investor program in London’s exclusive Andaz Hotel where 28 companies presented and hosted one-on-one meetings with UK and European institutional investors.
Tasked by Jacquelyn Orchard of NASDAQ OMX to create two conference areas for June’s investor program, project manager Debbie Ryan used MCL’s in-house set facility to produce a set and stage design that would meet the requirement of the brief. The sets flexibility would be paramount as the same sets would be reused in a similar event in December at the Mayfair Hotel, London. A design was decided on that was simple yet elegant and provided the necessary front and rear projection to meet the requirements of both venues.
Pivotal to the success of the event would be the speaker ready room; where guest speakers were able to check their presentations/videos and make final amendments with a graphics operator. Completed presentations were sent by network to the relevant room ready for the time slot. Speakers were briefed about procedure, microphones were attached and they were escorted in readiness for their slot. The speaker ready room was in continuous communications with technicians in both rooms to ensure everyone was aware of presentation overrunning or finishing early. Enabling those unable to attend the investor meetings access to the day’s events, MCL supplied and worked closely with a webcasting company to enable each presentation from both rooms to be streamed live via the web.
The event started at 7.30am and continued in 30 minute intervals throughout the day across both rooms. With 28 companies participating and 170 delegates from the European investor community attending, the organisation, attention to detail and time management was critical to the success of the event.
